Contra-indications for CACI treatments

NEVER TREAT

Pacemaker - Ok to use orbital abrader and LED lights

Epilepsy -  OK to use orbital abrader, NO LED lights

Tumours

Pregnancy - If half way through a course, stop immediately

Stomach treatment - After caesarean wait 3-6 months, after natural birth wait 3-6 weeks

Face treatment - When client feels ready, OK to use orbital abrader and LED lights

Thrombosis / Phlebitis

 

GP LETTER REQUIRED

Heart conditions - i.e. angina / coronary heart disease

Diabetes - Ok if diet controlled - if insulin dependant, GP note required. Perform hot * cold test / sharp & blunt.

Severe Muscular Conditions - i.e. Muscular dystrophy

 

AVOID AREA

Botox & thread lift - Avoid the area for 3 months. Can work directly over area are 3 months.

Injectables - Avoid area for 2 weeks due to discomfort

Inflammation / Infections / Skin Diseases - avoid area due to cross contamination

Metal Pins / Plates

Prosthesis / Silicone Implants

Contraceptive Coil - If metal based, caution for stomach treatments

Under / over active thyroid - Avoid the thyroid area

Semi-permanent make up - Avoid the area with orbital abrader and ultrasonic actuator

IPL / Laser (hair removal/skin rejuvenation) - Avoid area for 3-4 days

Micro-needling - Avoid for 2 weeks

Active Ingredient / At home exfoliants (e.g. glycolic, salicylic, AHA, retinols) - Avoid for 3 days before and after facials)

 

OTHER

High blood pressure medication & antidepressants - results may vary due to muscle relaxants in the medication. Obtain client signature. Prozac medication does not contain muscle relaxant.

Multiple sclerosis - results may be limited as any nerve damage caused by MS can inhibit the effect on the muscle.

Retin A / Tretinoin (topical medication for acne) - Wait 3-6 months after completion of Retin A

Roaccutane / Accutane / Isotretinoin (oral medication for severe acne) -  Wait 12-18 months after completion of roaccutane

Dental implants - Can perform treatment. May experience a stronger metallic taste in the mouth.

Allergy to rubber / metal / silicone - CACI probes and ultrasonic actuator are stainless steel. Wrinkle comb has brass pins. Body and facial pads are rubber based coated in silicone.
