So, What is Secret RF?

Secret RF is a novel approach that uses microneedles to deliver fractional Radio frequency (RF) energy (heat) into varying levels of the skin including the deeper layers where treatment is most beneficial with minimal damage to the skin's surface. This unique delivery of energy allows us to achieve optimal results by targeting depths ranging from 0.5mm-3.5mm, unlike other devices which only deposit energy in the upper layer of the skin.  This allows Secret RF

How Long Does the Secret RF Treatment Take?
Secret RF is an easy, safe and effective procedure that can be performed in a quick, 60-minute treatment session with minimal downtime, you can be back to your normal leisure experience within a few hours.

What Does the Procedure Feel Like?
During the treatment, you will feel a slight heating and some pressure on the treatment area. Prior to the procedure, your Secret RF Specialist will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area to increase comfort during the treatment.

What Can I Expect After my Secret RF Treatment?
After the treatment, an ointment will be applied to the skin and you will be asked to refrain from wearing make up for several hours. Any minor redness or swelling resulting from treatment will subside within 12-24 hours. After the treatment, you can expect to return to normal activities.

Is there any downtime?
Thanks to the unique delivery of Secret RF, there is little to no downtime required after sessions. On the day of your treatment, you may find that your skin has a little redness and may be a little sore to touch or have minor swelling and a slight roughness for a week. However, by the next day, you can usually return to wearing makeup and using your recommended skincare.  Our Secret RF Specialists will go through everything with you before you leave.

How Many Secret RF Treatments Will I Need?
To achieve the optimal effect, 3-4 Secret RF treatments are recommended spaced 4-6 weeks apart. You’ll start to notice results after your second treatment, but optimal results appear 3 months after the last treatment.

How Long Do The Results of Secret RF  Last?
Results vary based on the individual lasting between 12-18 months. This makes Secret RF one of the longest-lasting cosmetic treatments available. To maintain results, a maintenance treatment is recommended after the initial 12-18 months.

Why is Secret™ RF better than Traditional Radiofrequency/Micro-needling Alone?

Secret™ RF needling combines both skin micro-needling and radiofrequency, producing a synergistic effect much greater than the sum of each treatment individually.

Traditional RF uses a handpiece that sits on top of the skin’s surface. The RF energy needs to penetrate through the surface layers of the skin before it produces an effect thus delivering RF at a lower energy level producing less collagen stimulation even though effective. Secret™ RF micro-needling, on the other hand, uses the micro-needles to deliver the fractionated RF energy directly and precisely into the dermis. The RF energy administered this way has greater heating and denaturing effect on the dermal collagen resulting in greater stimulation of new collagen and more effective remodelling, producing better and more consistent results. Its effect is closer to fractionated laser than traditional RF. In addition to this, the micro-injuries induced by the physical needling produce additional collagen stimulation and also can help in reducing skin pigmentation which traditional RF cannot do.
